As far as I'm concerned, Rod McKuen is probably the greatest poet of the 20th (and 21st) century. I've been reading his works since the early 60's and love those earliest poems just as much today. His newer work is just as good. No matter which of his poems I read, there is always something to touch my heart. Check out his site. There are many, many poems, personal observations and even a few downloads. He is a tremendously talented man.
